The representations of "fat" or excess is extremely overstated in Female Trouble. The representations of the body, personalities, voice, extremes in other various ways, all point to attributes that culturally and socially may not necessarily always be the "standard"form of desire or beauty; however I feel that this representation in the film is fairly "queered" if I may make up that term, in the sense that it is being expressed as the utmost form of desirability. The ways the film is shot with played up the scenes of sexual displays are not one would find in a typical cinematic display and used to expose societies forms of "beauty".
