Minneapolis, St. Paul both consider levies for schools.

Minneapolis school officials pushed a 7.4 property tax increase Tuesday, where the potential funds would go to renovations and expansions for public schools.

Members of the school board are rather neutral to the proposal, which contradicts possible increases that Hennepin County is already considering, the Star Tribune reported.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Tuesday that the proposed increase for St. Paul schools in only 3.6 percent.

Residents of both cities will have big decisions to make come election day.
