The wreckage of a plane carrying singer Jenni River was found by Mexican authorities Sunday, according to a CNN report.
The plane was carrying six other passengers, including two pilots. The plane took off from Monterrey, Mexico, and it lost contact with air controls shortly after takeoff.
Director of Civil Aviation Alejandro Argudin said he doesn't think anyone survived the crash.
"The aircraft was destroyed, totally fragmented," he told Televisa, a CNN affiliate.
An L.A. Times report said the plane took off around 3:30 a.m. after Rivera had just performed a concert.
The 43-year-old Rivera released her debut album in 1999. She was known for singing traditional Mexican ballads.
Rivera also had her own reality television show, which showcased her personal life.
