Woman pleads guilty to killing ex-boyfriend in Brooklyn Center

Rochelle Lynn Inselman, 39, pleaded guilty to murder on Friday and will be sentenced next week to 40 years in prison for killing her ex-boyfriend Bret Struck, 41, in his home in Brooklyn Center, the Star Tribune reported Friday.

Inselman was reportedly obsessed with Struck. She went to his house the day before Valentines Day to "discuss things with him." Things got out of hand, and she shot him eight times, killing him in the process.

Inselman was indicted for first-degree murder. Had she not pleaded guilty, she could have faced life in prison.

A Pioneer Press report said the couple split in 2004.
