Training Program in Bishkek for Citizens of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan

The OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Sweden) and Institute for Integrative Conflict Transformation and Peace Building (Austria) announces a call for applications for Certificate Program on Project Management, Human Rights and Conflict Sensitivity for Central Asia and Afghanistan.

The objective of the program is to train professionals to design and manage projects dealing with conflict awareness and human-rights sensitivity.

Schedule of the training:
Part I. Bishkek, August 23 - September 10 2010, at the OSCE Academy, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic
Thematic modules: Project Management, Culture and Communication, Conflict Awareness and Human Rights Sensitivity

Part II. Independent Project Design
Upon returning form the training, the participants will be designing projects under distance (online) coaching by the trainers.

Part III. November 1-5 2010, at the OSCE Academy, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic
Presentation of the projects by the participants, certification

The Programme will cover the costs relating to participation.

Eligibility criteria:
-You are a civil servant, civil society representative or development professional;
- Citizenship of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan;
- Strong knowledge of English;
- Relevant work experience.

The participants of the planning session for this Certificate Program which took place in January 2009 are encouraged to apply.

Application process:
Curriculum Vitae and a letter of motivation in English (up to 400 words maximum) are to be submitted in ONE electronic file to the address:training@osce-academy.net or in a sealed envelop to the OSCE Academy, 1A Botanichesky per. Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan not later than Monday, 24 May.

Documents by fax are not accepted. Applications that come after the deadline will not be considered.

Short-listed candidates only will be invited for a (phone) interview.
