Come spend an evening with some of Africa's most exciting authors at a reception on Saturday, October 9, 2010. This Books For Africa event and fundraiser, held at the beautiful University Club in downtown St. Paul, MN, will feature a keynote address by Alexandra Fuller, author of Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight.

This evening reception is the culminating event of Books For Africa's Conference on African Literature featuring Nuruddin Farah from Somalia, Uwem Akpan from Nigeria, Billy Karanja Kahora from Kenya, and Alexandra Fuller from Zimbabwe. Read author bios. While earlier scheduled events give participants the chance to hear participating authors read from and discuss their works, this reception will allow attendees to spend the evening with these authors while enjoying heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages.
