PWESCR's Leadership Institute for Women's Economic, Social and Cultural Rights

PWESCR (Programme on Women's Economic, Social and Cultural Rights), an international human rights organization based in the Global South is accepting applications for its annual leadership development programme, "Leadership Institute in Women's Economic, Social and Cultural Rights."
This Leadership institute is an opportunity for women's rights leaders (men and women) working in organizations from the economic South. The programme is uniquely designed for economic and social justice activists and human rights practitioners working on women's rights in key leadership positions in organizations/institutions to effectively use the human rights framework to drive change, addressing structural causes of poverty, discrimination and inequalities.
The Institute will be held in two phases and all selected participants should attend both of them:
* Phase 1: 23-29 January to 2011 in New Delhi, India
* Phase 2: 20-25 June 2011 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
There are limited scholarships available to cover registration fee and travel related expenses. The scholarships have been made possible with the support of EED and Cordaid. Participants who are selected are encouraged to source their own funding.
