Summer study abroad for grad students

Our Summer 2011 roster includes two week courses in: Argentina, France, Ghana, Peru and Russia. These graduate courses are led by UM faculty members and are designed to include presentations by local academics, diplomats and/or experts. Students interested in our programs may opt for courses focusing on:

· Latin America in the World - Taught in English and Spanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina
UM Faculty: Dr. Ivan, Ph.D. in Religious Studies and Law from Harvard University.

· Global Warming Policy in the European Union - Taught in English in Paris, France
UM Faculty: Dr. George A. Gonzalez, Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Southern California

· Africa in the World - Taught in English in Legon, Ghana
UM Faculty: Dr. Edmund Abaka, Ph.D. in African History from York

· Latin American Political Economy - Course is in English and begins in Miami to finish in Peru UM Faculty: Dr. Richard Weisskoff, Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University

· Russia in the World - Taught in English in St. Petersburg, Russia
UM Faculty: Dr. Ralph S. Clem Ph.D. in Geography and Soviet Studies from Columbia University
