Please join us for the Engaging Intergovernmental Organizations (EIO) professional development program February 26 - March 4, 2011, visiting Geneva, Paris and Rome. This signature program offered by the Global Initiative for Food Systems Leadership at the University of Minnesota is designed to provide mid- and senior level government officials, industry leaders and academic faculty with the opportunity to interact more effectively with Intergovernmental Organizations (IGO). Participants will gain invaluable networking opportunities as they explore of the roles and responsibilities of the four key intergovernmental organizations:
· World Organization for Animal Health (OIE)
· World Health Organization (WHO)
· World Trade Organization (WTO)
· Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
Using directed experiential learning, participants will gain familiarity with public policy-making at the international level.
