Position Title: U.S. Program Manager

Atlas Corps is seeking an energetic, well organized individual with inter-cultural experience and sensitivity to help manage and expand the Atlas Corps fellowship and nonprofit leadership training program. Atlas Corps is an international program identified as a "best practice in international exchange" by the Brookings Institution that develops leaders, strengthens organizations and promotes innovation in the nonprofit sector through an international network of skilled professionals addressing critical global issues. The U.S. Program Manager has the responsibility to support the logistical operations of the fellowship program. The Program Manager will join a fast paced, ambitious organization and play an integral role in the visionary and entrepreneurial nature of the Atlas Corps team. The Program Manager's responsibilities include:

Fellow Support: Atlas Corps Fellows come from a range of countries and cultures around the world and often require a great deal of support both professionally and emotionally during their time in the United States. The Program Manager serves as a key support contact in the Atlas Corps office. In addition to assisting with work related issues, the Program Manager also supports the Fellows with housing needs, health insurance questions, etc.

Fellowship Administration & Training: The Program Manager will support the day-to-day operations of the Atlas Corps office and logistical arrangements necessary for the management of a high-quality, professional fellowship program. The Program Manager will also support the team with the monthly training program for the Fellows.

Fellow Recruitment and Selection: The Program Manager will support the Fellow recruitment and selection process and ensure that qualified nonprofit leaders interested in Atlas Corps fellowships receive accurate information and have their applications processed and evaluated efficiently. Specific tasks include organizing promotional outreach, responding to inquiries, processing applications, and coordinating the evaluation, interview, and selection process.

Host Organization Recruitment and Support: The Program Manager will serve as a liaison between the Atlas Corps office and the U.S. Host organizations. Throughout the year, the Program Manager will do targeted outreach and coordinate meetings to recruit new Host organizations. The Program Manager will also work with each Host organization to finalize host agreements, coordinate the Fellows' work plans, and regularly evaluate the fellowship experience.

Database Support: The Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining our Salesforce Database. This means adding new contacts, leads, candidates, organizations, etc. to the system and periodically reviewing the system to eliminate duplicates and update addresses. The Program Manager will work with the Development and Communications Director on this project.

Evaluation: With the Program Team, the Program Manager will implement and track evaluations of hosts and Fellows.

Program Expansion: The Program Manager will work closely with the CEO and U.S. Program Director to help expand Atlas Corps to new cities by indentifying potential Host organizations and donors to establish new destination cities for Atlas Corps Fellows.

Office Administration: The Program Manager will work closely with the U.S. Program Director to ensure the professional and efficient flow of information and services inside the Atlas Corps office and between the office and the program's various constituencies.

Other Assignments and Duties: As assigned by the CEO and U.S. Program Director.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree (relevant work and volunteer experience preferred).

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently, establish priorities, meet deadlines and manage a variety of tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

· Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; proven ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Experience living and/or working overseas is desirable, but not required.

· High level of initiative and follow-through.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Comfort and collegiality in working on a small team.

· Experience working with databases such as Salesforce.

· U.S. citizenship not required, but please indicate your visa status in your cover letter.

· Regional experience or expertise in the following regions is preferred: Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, Central Asia, and/or South-East Asia.

Salary will begin at $30,000 and increase with performance bonuses and program growth.
