The Program Associate will be responsible for helping further the initiatives and goals of the Economic Justice for Women Program Area. The Program Associate responsibilities include working with senior staff to develop and implement program initiatives for RFF and/or the advocacy initiative. The incumbent's duties on behalf of the RFF's Economic Justice for Women Program will include working with grantees, other foundation staff and consultants to assist in putting together multi-faceted strategies designed to promote desired social change, as well as other program-related special projects and endeavors. The incumbent's duties on behalf of the advocacy initiative will include working with donors to provide information about key initiatives and to promote networking, communication, and information sharing among the donors and other interested parties. The incumbent is also responsible for all other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the Associate Director.
This position is available for an initial two-year period, with the possibility of renewal.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree with a minimum of five to seven years of related work experience. Experience with a political or non-profit campaign, social justice work and women's rights strongly preferred. It is essential for the Program Associate to have excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a strong knowledge and ability to effectively utilize computer technology. Candidate must have the ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
