TIDES Training is a leading ethically based non-profit organisation specialising in conflict intervention methods based in Northern Ireland. On behalf of the Irish Peace Centres we will be running a Dialogue for Peaceful Change (DPC) Training of Facilitators course over a five day residential from the 20th (evening start) - 24th of June in Corrymeela, Northern Ireland.
DPC is a conflict management methodology offering practical skills to approach and manage conflict - personally and professionally.
The interactive and experiential DPC Training course covers Module 1: Under standing Conflict & Module 2: Mediative Dialogue in four parts:
1. The Nature of Conflict
2. The Conceptual Framework and Models
3. The Mediative Tool Kit
4. Practice and Application of Mediation Skills
The training and accommodation are fully funded by the Irish Peace Centres. For those travelling internationally, this does not cover travel costs to and from Northern Ireland.
The key priorities of this training are to build capacity and enhance civil society peace-building in Northern Ireland in abroad.
A note on applications: Should there be a surplus of applications we will seek to balance the group composition across gender experienced community activists, young adult leaders, local and international participants in conjunction with the stated training priorities. Confirmed participants can expect to hear from me during the first week of May.
Applications and further Information are attached and please contact us on info(at)tidestraining.org or on Facebook if you have any other questions.
We Look forward to hearing from you!
