IREX is pleased to announce host recruitment for the Spring 2012 semester of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan (Global UGRAD - Pakistan). Global UGRAD - Pakistan provides opportunities for current undergraduate students from Pakistan to spend one academic semester of non-degree study in a US university or community college. Participants are selected through an open, merit-based competition. The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the United States Department of State.
IREX welcomes applications from all institutions of higher education able to provide an intensive, dynamic, and high-quality undergraduate education and a memorable cultural experience, including the opportunity for fellows to: attend classes full-time for one academic semester; perform a minimum of 20 hours of community service in their host city during the semester; participate in academic skills building and cultural activities; and live in student housing with American peers.
The application and instructions are available for download on our project page. Please note that the deadline for host application submission is September 15, 2011. If you have any questions about the program or the application process, please feel free to contact Maryam Jillani at mjillani(at)irex.org or via phone at 202-628-8188 (extension 206).
