Internews Searching for Humanitarian Media Professionals
Internews is launching its new Humanitarian Media Roster in an effort to deploy qualified humanitarian communications and media specialists faster and more efficiently to aid communities in crisis.
The Roster will allow Internews to identify, assemble and deploy, within 24-48 hours, groundbreaking response teams to provide life-saving information and improve communications with disaster-affected people.
The Roster offers experienced humanitarian communications and media professionals a unique opportunity to make an immediate and direct impact in people's lives, support and work with local media, face new challenges, and enhance their skills-base in an area of humanitarian work that is receiving increased attention and recognition within the UN and International NGO community.
Internews is welcoming applications from humanitarian communication and relief experts and experienced media professionals for the following eight positions:
Humanitarian Liaison Officer
Humanitarian Journalism Trainer
Research/Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Emergency Multimedia Documentation Officer
