Deputy Chief of Party, Haiti
We are currently seeking a Deputy Chief of Party for an existing USAID-funded Title II multiyear assistance project based in southeastern Haiti. The program's goal is to reduce food insecurity, prevent malnutrition and increase resiliency in vulnerable rural households in Haiti.
Provide support to programmatic teams, including identifying and promoting clear communications on issues of budget management, programmatic activities, compliance, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and documentation.
Supervise and support directors of livelihoods, health and nutrition, and early warning system activities with reporting and project management.
Work closely with the M&E and other departments to ensure that internal and external programmatic reports are of high quality, prior to final review by COP.
Support the COP in responding to donor, stakeholder and HQ requests for information; liaise with HQ and other partners and stakeholders as requested.
Ensure contractual compliance with ACDI/VOCA and donor regulations and coordinate with ACDI/VOCA's awards and compliance team in Washington, DC.
Assume responsibility for development of effective communications materials and
Advanced degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience.
Prior experience (more than five years) with USAID projects, procedures, policies and reporting requirements is required. Prior experience with Title II projects is highly preferred. Relevant food security/livelihoods experience.
Experience developing and managing programs related to integrated rural development (food security, livelihood, nutrition) with experience in Haiti or Francophone Africa is preferred.
Demonstrated strong proficiency and expertise in reporting to donors, project management and strategic planning.
Excellent oral and written communication, analytical skills, and ability to work efficiently and quickly under pressure.
Established track record of achieving results within difficult working environments is required.
Fluency in both English and French languages is required. Haitian Creole is highly preferred.
