The superbowl is come and gone, but that doesn't mean I can't explain to you what I did for that glorious night. And while my Minnesota predilections have me feeling displeased at the Packer's resulting victory, I'm pretty happy with the television I mounted on my wall for watching the game (and as a man, I thought it would be appropriate to brag a bit about it).

After securing an awesome, huge PLasma tv on Woot.com, I decided to get a TV Wall Mounts so that I could put it up for the big game. Frankly, it was the best decision I could have made. The TV is in my living room, across from the sofa, and not only is its size impressive, the massive appendage protruding from the wall is wonderfully excessive and amazingly pleasant to watch football upon.

Before the game, though, I booted up the XBOX. The TV was attached to an awesome HDMI Switch which allowed me to have both my video games and my Blue Ray player connected to the tv without having to worry about much. No messy wires, made for a tidy switching between feeling terrible that the Packers were marching on toward victory and a relieving game of Madden (where the Packers were not fairing so well) on the XBOX.

All of this was connected to my new surround sound system. This thing is huge. Although I have no real comparison, since I've never really owned a surround sound system before. Alas, I had beautiful high def sound matched to gold speaker wire. Frankly, it was the best sound my meager budget could buy. If you are hosting a superbowl party next year (or some other sporting event in between), I highly recommend doing what we did.

Who's Afraid Of The Arsenal Gunners?

His loss would be damaging to a degree, but the important issue is the lack of development of other players brought in to solidify the squad among the elites. Bringing in Maroune Chamakh from Bordeaux does little if Fabregas is granted his wish to go to Barcelona. The club's three top goal scorers after Fabregas were Arshavin, Vermaelen, and Van Persie with the last the only one who knows how to assist on a goal. The Arsenal soccer club as currently constituted is ill-equipped to challenge for either a Premier or Champions League title.

The 4-1 loss in the quarterfinals at Barcelona in the Champions League on April 6, 2010 had a cascading effect on the final month of play in the Premier League. The Gunners lost on the road to Tottingham, Wigan, and Blackburn while managing a draw with Manchester City before recovering to win the home finale 4-0 over Fulham. Combine Arsenal's inability to defeat Chelsea this season (lost 3-0 at home and 2-0 on the road) with the 4-1 smashing by Barcelona, and the evidence is clear that this club is incapable of winning championships. The possible impact of Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote's purchase of 16% of the club leads to further possible instability. Perhaps the sale of Fabregas' contract to Barcelona could lure emerging talent to sign with Arsenal for the chance to be tutored by Wenger. Fabregas resigned from the Spanish Soccer Academy at the age of 16 for the opportunity, so other youth may venture to take a chance as well. What the Arsenal soccer club can ill-afford to do is keep banking on Fabregas as the go-to guy.

The good news for the Arizona Cardinals is that they just won one of the most exciting games in the history of the NFL. As stated earlier, the defensive side of the ball is where the Ravens will shine. They have always dominated teams on that side of the ball. They are lead by all-universe linebacker Ray Lewis. They have another stud linebacker in Terrell Suggs. They will be hounding the Colts all day.

Look for the Ravens to shock the world and pull the upset in this one. The Ravens defense looks like it will have what it takes to come out victorious. The key will be a turnover or two that will turn the tide of the game.
