Classes are finally settling in and we are actually getting into material that is interesting.. It gets boring hearing about unit outlines the whole class period. This weekend was such a blast! Friday night I stayed on campus with a couple of my friends to celebrate my friend's birthday. On Saturday I went to the Bon Iver concert!! Bon Iver is a folk band and the main guy is from Eau Claire, WI. They just recently won two Grammys. It was AMAZING!! It was held at the Red Hill Auditorium just outside of Perth. My friend Kerryn from UMD got free tickets through her parents who met Brian Joseph. He works with Bon Iver and was the one who went on stage with Justin Vernon at the Grammys. When we got there we went back and met him and then found our spots. It is an outdoor auditorium so we just went straight to the front to the standing area. There was an opening band who did a few songs and then Bon Iver came out. We were in the second row and were so close to the stage. Bon Iver put on a great show and sounded amazing. Sunday we just hung around and did homework :/ The weather has been amazing here. It has been sunny pretty much every day and hasn't rained once! I look at the pictures of Minnesota on Facebook and it is crazy the amount of snow there is. I don't miss it at all! There are even times when I am in my lecture room and it gets too cold that I want to step outside to get warmer. Monday class went well and then after a group of us played volleyball outside of my flat. Today, I had one class and one left to go. I am going to try to get all my homework done before tomorrow because it is my birthday tomorrow! I will fill you in later on what we do!
