researching #1

As I was looking through a Graphic Design annual from the library, I noticed that most advertisers or designers put most their "punch line" or eyecatcher not just on the paper as type, but they include it or fix the image, so that soem of the type is the image or is in the image. Also, as I am looking at two page layouts, alot of them have the type on one side and a very powerful image on the other. A third thing, Ive noticed and Im thinking Ive noticed these things because I like the idea and have used some what of this kind of solution in my design layouts. Anyways, designers use color boxes and transparent them down to say 50%, so you can see behind the box and really makes a good use of space. As I discover more design ideas and such, I will blog accordingly.
