i tried to unlock my car door [front, driver] but instead of putting the key in the lock, i somehow pushed the entire locking mechanism deep into the door.... where it fell into the hollow, steel depths of my car. the lock still works [auto-unlock-button, other side], and the lock is still there [rolls and clinks when i turn].... but i'll be giggered if i could essplain what just happened....

Posted by: Underblog at November 13, 2006 01:03 PMonce while driving a boyfriend's car that truly had it in for me (for instance, once an entire wheel...lug nuts and all...came off it while i was sleeping in its back seat...and was found 1 mile away from where the car sauntered rather peacefully somehow into a ditch), i got the shoestring necklace that boyfriend's keys were stupidly on ('cuz that was the soccer boy fashion at the time) stuck around the steering wheel, and the key broke off in the ignition WHILE the car was running, mind you, and i was stuck for quite some time with the car stuck on. AAA came to the rescue. lesson: no necklace length key chains for me or you!
Posted by: dsplit at November 13, 2006 03:56 PMi keep my keys on a golden locket with a tuft of hair i got from my first (read: only) girlfriend. i refuse to give up my necklace length keychain just because SOMEONE had problems with it.
