Whee... the $18.40 UPass refund from the Metro Transit bus strike has already been direct-deposited. Yay for money I didn't really expect Parking and Transportation Services would feel necessary to refund.
Today I had to run a few errands between class and work, including stopping at Coffman to buy some stamps. I intended to purchase a book of stamps from the ATM, but I decided to see if the post office in Coffman is any cheaper. Since I had to actually speak to a human being to purchase the stamps, I got to ask a question I've been wondering for awhile...
On the side of the "post office," there are two mail slots for outgoing USPS mail. One says, "Local Mail," and the other, "Out of Town." Well honestly, what the hell is that supposed to mean?! So I ask the post office employee what the difference between the two mail slots is.
She kinda laughed and said, "Nothing...they end up in the same box." So, I got my answer, but I think I'm more confused than before.
I don't really need to be starting another blog, but this idea has come to me in the past, and the recent addition of a blog service on the UMN web site has resurrected that idea.
What is that idea? Well, I know I spend too much time musing over thoughts regarding this school...utterly inane things that I probably shouldn't, but can't help thinking about. Or I make observations, or I have questions...about stuff here, at the University of Minnesota.
So I'm going to do the trendy thing, and blog about it.
