So I start this blog and then don't update it...greaaattt... Well, here's an entry I've been meaning to post for a couple days. Outside Lind Hall and EE/CSci where I spend much, much, time, I noticed the flowers blooming in a planter. Sure, the U spends tons of money and time on its landscaping. What's funny is that this year, the tulips(?) seem to have been replaced by a special variety:

They're Maroon and Gold!
This isn't the only place on campus where plants have been selected for certain visual genetic traits. The leaves of the trees on Pleasant near University turn maroon and gold in the fall.
MT/blog.lib.umn.edu won't let me upload large files...you can find the full 2mb original of the photo HERE.
