Blog Post 2: Cassie
I watched a show called The History of the Joke, an Arrested Development episode, and an episode from The Hills.
The History of the Joke -a special on The History Channel, air date 02/18/08 at 8pm.
Likes: I really enjoyed the aspect of the program which involved the host, Lewis Black, interviewing other comedians about what kind of jokes they think are funny, how a joke is formed, etc...this ultimately would lead him to discover the funniest joke ever which never really happened.
Dislikes: It was 2 hours long and my short attention span (plus having a cold) made it difficult for me to stay alert during the show. Also there's a lack of women comedians out there, so get out there and tell your jokes ladies!
Arrested Development-Ready, Aim, Marry Me!, orig. air date 02/13/05
Likes: I love this show! I have the 3 seasons on DVD. It's so quirky and weird. It's one of the funniest sitcoms around and it's sad that it didn't last longer than 3 seasons.
Dislikes: There's not much that I dislike about the show. It plays off all kinds of stereotypes so it's hard for me to really be offended by anything.
The Hills-Season 3, Episode 5
Likes: I have a strange obsession with this show. Maybe it's because I wish I was so rich that I didn't have to worry about anything. Or maybe because Lauren is very relateable...I honestly don't know. The drama keeps the show interesting.
Dislikes: The girls live the lifestyle of celebrities but are they really celebrities? The 'problems' in the show are very superficial and just plain stupid but I just can't get enough!
