Dancing, Vegas, and Catfights

1. Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew
Likes:I like that they are bringing other forms of nontraditional dance to the general populace. It is giving street dancing more credit than it receives, and that is positive. Also, the dance crews are madd talented. I watch specifically because their dance skills are out of this world, it's some of the best stuff I have seen in a while.
Dislikes:The judges and the whole air of the show are really cliché. I feel like I am watching the reality TV version of Save the Last Dance, Step Up, or one of a few others in this genre. I feel like street dancing and the communities it represents are being exploited in this sense.

2. CSI
Likes: This show is very realistic with it's special effects. The characters come from diverse backgrounds and relate very well to one another. You get a sense of them being a team and a family. Also, they use facts in solving their cases, more so other crime cases.
Dislikes: This is an hour long show but halfway in you're guaranteed to know where they're going in terms of suspects. The endings are predictable after you've seen a few episodes because they follow a certain blueprint for each and every episode.

3. America's Next Supermodel
Likes:The fashion in this show is really good stuff. I like that this show is giving opportunities to those with little experience and those with quite a bit. The critiques the judges give are honest and I could see other models watching this show benefiting from that.
Dislikes:This show comes off somewhat as a spinoff of America's Next Top Model so the premise is not so creative. The thing I disliked the most is the way the contestants treat each other. They are catty and rude, trying to tear one another down. They call each other fat and numerous other mean things, and help perpetrate negative body image stereotypes. After recognizing this I've stopped watching this show.
