Dissatisfaction with todays TV
I generally don't watch a lot of TV because I know that I don't like very much of what there is to offer today. For the assignment I watched a sitcom, a design show, and a sci-fi show. Here's how they turned out:

Likes:
Woman doing the inviting to go watch a basketball game
Women exploring their sexuality, adventurous
Interracial date
Dislikes:
Stereotypical TV relationship of an overweight man and a skinny attractive woman
Stereotypical guy humor – men are funny that make farting noises under their armpits
Woman called a shrew
Only one African American cast member
Save my Bath – HGTV
Likes:
Both husband and wife participating
Male and female designers
Both men and women participate in the deconstruction
Dislikes:
Corny, cheesy acting by designers, especially the female designer
Male and female designers really conform to their gender roles
Trendy feminine
Masculine muscle of the team
All Caucasian cast
Firefly – DVD (cancelled mid first season)
Likes:
Female second in command, powerful, strong
Female ship mechanic
Interesting blend of American and Chinese cultures for the future
Excellent humor
Ingenuity of River in outsmarting the bounty hunter who is after her
Diversity of crew in race and gender
Dislikes:
Frustration with relationship of Kaylee and the Doctor (I really wanted them to get together but they don’t until the movie Serenity)
