Degrassi - Teen Series Episode "hungry eyes" aired Friday 15th at 7 pm
liked: i liked that this episode taught people (especially teenage girls) how to make a stand against something besides just protesting. The idea of this episode is that to make things better you have to become part of it and change it instead of trying to change it from the outside. I felt like it connected really well with some of the readings that we have come across.
didnt: the message was a little extreme. I felt that instead of using nudity to prove a point she could have gone about it another way. Her choice was not very rational and I feel like those that want to make a change would go about it more cautiously and it wouldn't just be about themselves, but rather the cause. The final message was only come across due to selfishness and that shouldn't be the story.
CSI - Drama. Dont remember the episde name, it was on spike last night at 9:00.
Liked: The visuals of entering wounds and going back in time was really believable and kept me into the show for longer then I would normally watch. The
Didnt like: The episodes don't stray much from a guessable plot. It makes the show boring when nothing new is introduced. I feel like they should focus more on new and exciting things instead of simliar story lines and murder plots.
Project Runway- Reality, Tivo'd episode, On Bravo
Liked: It was funny and made you understand how much work it is to design clothes. In this particular episode the designers had to design prom dresses and it was a lot of fun to see the final products. It is interesting to see how they would take the ideas from their clients and mesh them with their own views to create masterpieces.
Didn't like: It seems unrealistic. The makers have to do certain tasks that I would assume that most clothing designers would not have to face. For example only 10 dollars to spend on spare material and only a short amount of time with models. It made the fashion industry seem more like a joke then how it really should be looked viewed. And honestly I felt like most of the dresses were so ugly which made me realize how hard it would be to judge something like that because fashion is something that is so much based on the person who is going to wear it.
