TV for the Week
I have awful TV this week. I was so busy that I didn't watch anything I like to watch.
#1 Conan O'Brien Tuesday night on NBC
Dislikes:
-I find his hair distracting - a guest actaully commented on it's unusual height that night
-there was this thing with a racoon tied to the ceiling with a jet-pack on and it just kept swirling around while Conan tried to come up with ideas on how to shoot it down (spoofing the fact our government had to shoot down the satellite)
-the guy from SNL who does the Vinny the Italian was on and I don't like that sketch, they showed a clip, and he did a few lines (urgh)
Likes:
-it kept me awake while trying to do other things
-the musical guest was so freaking fantastic. That should be in caps...SO FREAKING FANTASTIC! Conan gushed that the ukelele player was great, I was skeptical, but it was sooo good. Name: Jake Shimebakuro - he's on iTunes and I would suggest starting with Gently Weeping. It's a great Beatles cover on the album of the same name.
-his stand up was actually funny
Jeopardy Monday 4:30 NBC
This was the first semi-finalist game of the Teen challenge.
Dislikes:
-I sometimes feel that Trebek is condesending, also I'm not sure if wears glasses or not as it seems interchangable.
-I lost
-the music
Likes:
-I could answer almost all of the question because the contests were 16 and I am smarter than them!! I answered 20 some thousand dollars worth right. Unfortunately I did not wager well in Final Jeopardy and was beaten.
-I like learning things in a half hour and remembering things I thought I had forgotten.
**Neither Like Nor Dislike:
-I always think of SNL and Sean Connery whenever I watch Jeopardy
I watched the news but that's so boring...
20 minutes of the Ellen Show this morning (Thursday) on ABC? I think?
Dislikes:
-I can't really think of any, her jacket was kind of funky this morning but she has a simple style that works for her.
-I missed the beginning where she does weird comedy/audience things. On a general rule I don't like those.
-The promo for Christina Aguilera on tomorrow - she was literally falling out of her top. I realize you're nursing but put them away.
Likes:
-Willie Nelson was on
-Ellen is a great interviewer. She's always interested and relates to her guests.
-Did I mention Willie Nelson was on and that he sang two songs? Not a huge fan but he's always good and so simple. It was good.
