HECUA METRO URBAN STUDIES TERM

Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST) is a semester-long program offered through HECUA (Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs). It explores issues of poverty, inequality, and social change in the Twin Cities while focusing on the economy, housing systems, education, welfare, government policies, urban sprawl, race and class segregation, and institutional discrimination. MUST is taught off-campus in the Twin Cities and involves classroom and field work, plus a 20 hr/wk professional internship. This semester-long program offers 16 credits, may fulfill Liberal Education requirements, and may offer credit toward your major/minor. MUST is offered every fall and spring semester.
