SRI CALL FOR PAPERS
Each year the Sociology Department celebrates student research at the Sociology Research Institute (SRI). Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to present their works-in-progress and/or finished projects on any topic using a variety of different methods, techniques and approaches, as our goal is to promote as wide ranging a discussion as possible. Your work may be presented in a panel presentation, as part of a round table discussion, or as a poster. The majority of the presentations will be given throughout the day of Saturday, April 21st.
Panel Presentations: four or five students, grouped by related research or subject area, each formally present their work for 10-15 minutes with tie for discussion at the end of the session.
Roundtable Discussion: two or three students studying similar topics introduce their research and participate in an informal discussion with interested faculty and students.
Posters: Posters provide an overview of a research project, data collection effort, sociological opportunity, or data source. Poster will be display throughout SRI (foam core backing and tripod will be provided).
Using the form available at the SRI website, send a title and an abstract, outline, proposal, or complete paper to:
