The Evolution of Long Distance Communication:

I love Diesel Fried Chicken!!

I think this sign is just really humorous but could easily be confusing to someone who is not similar with truck stops. What if someone actually thinks they cook the chicken with diesel? I also noticed how cheap gas and diesel are in this picture close to $1.00

Road Surprises?

What does road surprises mean? If I saw this sign I would not want to continue driving on that road!

What A Deal At Walmart!!

Picture found at: (http://www.dis-equilibrium.com/2007/09/wal-marts-low-prices-were-yesterday.html)

I used this picture of a Walmart sign because I see this all the time in the stores. I wonder who puts these signs up and do they not realize what they are doing? I think when I see things like this that they are really funny, but unprofessional.

The not so angry email

I was recently told a story about an email misuse. A lady, who I am guessing was new to using internet and email communication, had sent an email to her pastor about a certain topic. To the lady it was just a little comment, but she had written the whole email in Caps Lock. Hence after the pastor read it he thought that the lady was furious about the issue and meant to give the impression that she was yelling in the email.

They were able to clear up the issue, and the lady was well informed on the intentions of using all Caps Lock!

This needs no explanation...

Headlines: Yackety Yack - Don't Talk Back!

View image

At night, I usually watch The Tonight Show with host Jay Leno. I immediately thought of his segment, Headlines, when Marnie posted the extra credit assignment. I attached a comical piece on political jargon.

Jay delivered the news article with a one-liner: "These guys sound like politicians, don't they?"

The article later states "We would like to talk on holding talks on the current budget. When residents talk on the budget, we will be talking about ways to talk."

Got that?

Emergency Graphics with Funny Explanations

These graphics come from an email attachment that I received. While the exact author is ambiguous, several people have referenced "The D'oh's and Woo Hoo's of Life" as contributing to the work. The whole piece is inappropriate for several reasons, but I've taken a few of the graphics and "explanations" and posted them here.

The writer is making fun of emergency graphics:
