my visual...

I found the visual I used for my paper in TIME magazine's best photographs of 2005. The picture is of a victim of an earthquake that took place around the border of Pakistan and India. The victim was in school when it collapsed within a mere thirty seconds. The boy is covered in dust and debris (what looks like parts of the wall... floor... ceiling..etc.. of the school) appears in the foreground. At first, it is difficult to see that there is a boy under a layer of dust, but after noticing his hands, you realize it is actually a person. It's disturbing in an almost calm and peaceful way..

The photo I chose is the 7th in the series, but the other ones are really great as well (and worth looking at!)
