My Visual Argument

I chose a photo from the 1950's of Lake Mead in Nevada. The picture portrays the harmful drought that occured there in 1955. There is a man standing in the dry lake bed, which is contrasted by a dark sky. I chose this photograph because I took a Field Study to the American Southwest in 2004 and we learned that Lake Mead and its basin are experiancing one of the worst droughts since the 60's. The photo stuck out to me immediatly because of the harsh contrast between the sky and the lake, because of that I read below to find out it was Lake Mead.
