Stem Cells in California

I just read an article about the CIRM (California Institute for Regenerative Medicine) and how they have a plan to finance stem cell research in California. They say most of the focus will be on new treatments. One of the company's goals is to have a treatment for at least one disease in 10 years. I think that this is great. We need to have new research on diseases that have been hurting Americans and people all over the word. We have many treatments but not enough cures. Diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s have left many people and countless families and doctors feeling hopeless. This needs to change. Stem cell research will only be a benefit to man kind and give us a brighter healthier future.
