How do you define diversity? Like an iceberg, there's a lot below any simple answer to this question.
At last year's Humphrey diversity strategic planning process, we used the University Office of Equity and Diversity's definition of diversity . Participants in that process requested an opportunity to explore how we define diversity as a community.
In response, the One Humphrey, One Community team (part of the Humphrey School's Diversity Committee) invites students, staff & faculty to join us on December 7th for lively, small group rotating discussions digging into how each of us defines and acts on our definition of diversity.
This will be followed up by conversations in the Spring focused on how we collectively define diversity and build this into our Humphrey DNA.
Bring your curiosity and your thoughts. This event is not for spectators!
Get your juices flowing: TEDxDU talks on diversity from the University of Denver. Also join us for December's month-long online conversation here on the blog around Defining Diversity.
Hope you can make it!
