February 21: Material/economic progress for women and changing social norms
How are these two forces coming together or interacting to impact the well being of women and men in various contexts? At the individual level, the household level, the community level and the state/government level.
We'll be reflecting on the topic in the context of the Overview for the World Bank's 2012 Report on Gender Equity and Development

March 14: Women and political leadership
What are we learning in various contexts about how to increase the number and effectiveness of women in political leadership? What is the role of quotas, class/caste, geography, capacity building, and other dimensions of this issue?
We'll be reflecting on the topic in the context of a Politics & Gender article "Gender Quotas and Women's Substantive Representation: Lessons from Argentina"
