Hovanetz Lassila employed by Florida Department of Education

Christy Hovanetz Lassila (MA '98) is the director of evaluation and reporting for the Florida Department of Education in Tallahassee. The department oversees Florida's K--12 accountability system, including calculating school grades under Florida's A+ Plan and adequate yearly progress under the No Child Left behind Act of 2001. Hovanetz Lassila also completed a Ph.D. in public affairs at the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University--Tallahassee. Her concentration was in public policy, with a specialization in education policy.
