Franzen wins Minnesota Senate seat

On Tuesday, November 6, Melisa Lopez Franzen (MPP '01) was elected to the Minnesota State Senate for District 49 (Edina/Bloomington). She defeated GOP incumbent Keith Downey. Franzen ran on a platform that focused on education, jobs, and clean energy. She is an attorney with Target Corporation.
