"Adaptation Strategies for Climate Change" on March 13

Human-induced climate change in recent decades is already affecting many physical and biological processes on every continent. What adaptation strategies are needed to reduce negative impacts on our natural resources, infrastructures, and overall quality of life? The University's Institute on the Environment will host a roundtable discussion about "Adaptation Strategies for Climate Change" from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, in Coffman Memorial Union. Princeton ecologist Stephen Pacala and Institute on the Environment founding fellow Anne Kapuscinski will talk about the science and policy of climate change adaptation and explore ideas for interdisciplinary research.

The roundtable is free and open to the public. You also may attend via UMConnect at https://umconnect.umn.edu/instituteontheenvironment/. The event is co-sponsored by the Consortium on Law and Values in Health, Environment, and the Life Sciences.
