PASA and CHANCE team up to donate computers to area nonprofits

The Humphrey Institute will receive several new computers this fall, so the Public Affairs Student Association (PASA) and the Cedar-Humphrey Action for Neighborhood Collaborative Engagement (CHANCE) have teamed up with the University of Minnesota to donate several of the older computers to area Cedar-Riverside nonprofit community organizations. A total of 35 computers have been made available for donation with the help of information technology manager Will Bear. Several organizations have been designated to receive computers based on letters of request submitted to CHANCE and PASA, and they will be distributed in the next few weeks.

This effort constitutes unifying action that will help nurture the relationship between the University of Minnesota and the West Bank community. These computers will help to educate both young and old and be an incredibly valuable resource to the organizations and the community. PASA and CHANCE are very excited to help enhance and aid in the development of a vibrant, multicultural community and want to thank the Humphrey Institute and the University of Minnesota for making this donation possible.
