Book talk and signing with Harry Boyte October 22

Senior Fellow Harry Boyte, a nationally known community organizer, will discuss his book The Citizen Solution: How You Can Make a Difference, on Wednesday, October 22 at 6 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Bookstore in Coffman Memorial Union.

Boyte delivers practical tools for how we can change the face of America by focusing on issues close to home. Learn useful techniques to raise public consciousness and effectively motivate community-based groups while working through cultural differences. The Citizen Solution shows how mobilized citizens can be more powerful than politicians, and offers inspiring, real-life examples of Minnesotans who have prompted change. Boyte will sign copies of his book following the discussion.
