This holiday season, the Humphrey Institute community will raise funds for a neighbor in need. For the second year in a row, the Institute is partnering with CHANCE. All donations will be put towards purchasing a new scoreboard for the Brian Coyle Community Center gymnasium. This is a very special effort, as the teams that play at the Brian Coyle Center are unable to host home games without a functioning scoreboard. Helping to raise money for a new scoreboard will make a difference in the lives of neighborhood youth.
Here's how to donate:
- Donations can be made by cash or check. Please make checks payable to Brian Coyle Community Center.
- Donations can be made in person to Camille Gage (office 125), placed in Camille's mailbox on the first floor, OR dropped off in one of the holiday boxes labeled for this purpose.
- Donation boxes are located at the front desk in room 130, the dean's office reception desk in room 300, and in the student lounge.
All donations are tax deductible. Donors will receive a letter of thanks and a receipt for tax purposes from Pillsbury United Communities, a nonprofit organization that partners with the Brian Coyle Community Center. If you donate cash, please include a note with your full name and mailing address.
The fundraising drive will conclude with a holiday party on Thursday, December 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the atrium. Participate in holiday games, including Wreath Toss, Balcony Ball, and Humphrey Trivia, and mingle with colleagues during a festive luncheon. A main dish and beverages will be provided by the dean's office. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to bring a side dish or holiday treat to share.
