“Using Photography to Engage Community: 32 X 4� exhibition program January 27

Local art, public policy, historical, and economic experts will discuss the “Using Photography to Engage Community: 32 X 4� exhibit and the intersection of art and community at a panel discussion on Tuesday, January 27, at the Minneapolis Central Library. Panelists include Ann Markusen, Humphrey Institute professor and director of the Arts Economy Initiative; Elizabeth Glidden, Humphrey Institute alumna and Minneapolis City Council member; Xavier Tavera, photographer; and George Slade, historian and photography curator. Camille Gage, artist and Humphrey Institute event coordinator, will moderate the discussion. This free event is presented by the Library Foundation of Hennepin County and Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library and is open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the program starts at 6:30 p.m. A reception will follow at 7:30 p.m.
