"Green the Ghetto" with Majora Carter March 6

Majora Carter, a pioneer of green economic practices in the South Bronx, New York, will discuss sustainable urban development at a breakfast forum on Friday, March 6, at Windows on Minnesota, 80 South 8th Street, Minneapolis. By connecting the right types of training, policy, and relationships, Carter helps cities across the United States realize the value of integrating infrastructure and the local economy in ways that benefit everyone. One of the nation’s innovators of successful green-collar job training and placement systems, she simultaneously addresses public health, poverty alleviation, and climate change. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.; the program will be from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Cost to attend is $20 for MIC members and students, $30 for non-members. Advance registration and payment is required.
