Call for nominations: Ada Comstock Distinguished Women Scholar Award

The Ada Comstock Distinguished Women Scholar Award and Lecture acknowledges and honors the scholarly accomplishments and leadership of distinguished women faculty at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and offers a forum for them to share their insights and ideas with a campus and community audience. Members of the University community are encouraged to nominate a scholar from their department.

A scholar from the humanities, arts, or social sciences is selected to present the fall lecture. The award is limited to tenured women faculty employed at the University for at least five years and who have achieved significant national and international accomplishments and honors.

To submit a nomination, send a nominator narrative, describing the nominee's scholarship accomplishments, national and international reputation and impact, and ability to deliver an engaging, scholarly talk for a general audience, and the nominee's curriculum vitae to women@umn.edu. Nomination materials must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1.
