HHH faculty and staff are eligible to purchase discounted tickets to the May 5 Public Leadership Awards dinner
The 2009 Hubert H. Humphrey Public Leadership Awards dinner will take place on Tuesday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at the McNamara Alumni Center. Humphrey Institute faculty and staff members are eligible to purchase up to two event tickets at a discounted rate of $50 per ticket.* Additional tickets may be purchased at the full price of $125. The annual Public Leadership Awards honor individuals, organizations, or projects that contribute to the common good through public leadership and service. Recipients of the 2009 Public Leadership Awards are: Mike McCurry, White House press secretary during the Clinton Administration; Lou Bellamy, founder and artistic director of Penumbra Theatre Company; Mary Lee Dayton, kindergarten teacher, women's rights activist, and volunteer; and Jim Campbell, former chairman and CEO of Wells Fargo Bank. Proceeds from the event benefit a student scholarship initiative.
