In remembrance of Professor George Warp

The Humphrey Institute community was saddened to learn of the passing of Professor George Warp. Generations of students in the Public Administration Center and the School of Public Affairs—predecessors of the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs—benefitted from Professor Warp’s council and his teaching. He was the pioneer and founder of the internship program that served hundreds of our students so well and continues to do so to this day. The George A. Warp Fellowship Fund is a memorial to this gifted and student-oriented professor, which provides students a stipend so that they can take low paying or unpaid internships that suit their academic program. Our condolences go out to George Warp’s children Diana, Cindy, and John and to his many friends who mourn his passing.
