Keith Ellison will be the keynote speaker for HHH commencement

Congressman Keith Ellison will be the keynote speaker at the Institute's commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, at Ted Mann Concert Hall. Ellison, who represents Minnesota's 5th District, is the first African American to represent Minnesota in the U.S. Congress and the first person of the Muslim faith in America to serve in Congress. Congressman Ellison's district includes our own Cedar-Riverside neighborhood. In his 2-1/2 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, Ellison has championed many social issues, such as discrimination, immigration reform and family reunification, climate change, school funding, access to higher education, and health care reform.

All are invited to attend the May 17 commencement ceremony to celebrate the success of our graduating students.
