Join us for "Reflections on Racial Dialogue," a discussion about the use of community dialogue groups as a strategy for addressing racial injustices and improving race relations, on Friday, April 17, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Room L-110 of the Carlson School of Management. A diverse panel will answer questions related to the implementation and impact of racial dialogues, including how we should think about the limitations and possibilities of dialogue groups as a strategy for improving race relations and how we should think about efforts to find common ground while recognizing and respecting differences as elements of the dialogue process. Panelists include Katherine Cramer Walsh, associate professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison; Judie Cutler, elder from the St. Croix band of Ojibwe; Anita Patel, YWCA director of racial justice and public policy; and George T. Stephenson, Ramsey County District Court judge. A reception with light refreshments will follow the panel discussion. This free event is sponsored by the Humphrey Institute Diversity Committee.
