Walter Novillo will be joining the Humphrey Institute staff on Monday, September 21 as Assistant Director for Admissions and Recruitment. He graduated from the Humphrey Institute in 2000, and is completing a Ph.D. in work and human resources education at the University. He joins us most recently from the Minneapolis Urban League, where he directed their development activities.

Walter has extensive experience in higher education, policy analysis and evaluation, marketing and recruitment, particularly in programs supporting increased access to higher education from underrepresented communities. He worked with TRIO (educational opportunity outreach) programs at MNSCU, and helped create the Power of YOU program, which helps "open college doors for Minneapolis and St. Paul public school graduates."
