Event Management Services Now Available

The Humphrey Institute Conference Center now offers event management services to the Humphrey Institute community and other units within the University of Minnesota and all conference center clients. The fee for these services for University and non-profit groups is $40 per hour. The fee for commercial clients is $60 per hour.

These additional event management services are offered as part of the University's initiative to promote entrepreneurial activities through Independent Service Organizations (ISOs) within the University. Camille Gage will manage the additional event services in partnership with Margaret Oltmans and Sherri Holmen. Gary Muellerleile will continue to offer and oversee technical services. Margaret Oltmans will still be the first point of contact for Conference Center clients and will continue to provide all of the planning services that she has in the past. Together Conference Center staff will work with clients to ensure that events run smoothly and successfully.

New Conference Center event planning services will include: - Creating budgets and timelines
- Securing event-related services, including: Catering, photography, florist, music (live or recorded), ground transportation for VIPs, printing and mailing services, consultation on audience development
- Liaison with other Humphrey University services, such as: University Bookstores, to provide book selling at your event
- Parking and Transportation Services
- Risk Management
- University Police and Dignitary Detail
