Tortured Reasoning and Misunderstanding the Threat

Vice President Walter F. Mondale and Professor Larry Jacobs, director of the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance, will discuss terrorism and interrogation techniques with former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Ali Soufan from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, in the Humphrey Forum. Soufan has been called "an important weapon in the ongoing war on terrorism." and has investigated and supervised several highly sensitive terrorism cases, such as the East African Embassy bombings and the events surrounding 9/11. Soufan will explain mistakes made against al Qaeda, how terrorist organizations can be brought down, and how to effectively interrogate terrorists.
